Football – England Premier League
Venue: Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Judi Bola, Mpobos.com-Tottenham didn’t show their best possible face last weekend on the road to Wolves, but the Spurs still managed to pull out a three-pointer in a 1:2 victory.
The team simply looked a bit inferior, having less of the ball possession and the chances created as well. However, they had an early lead already in the eight-minute thanks to Lucas and didn’t need to attack and risk further on.
Wolves equalized deservedly in the middle of the second halftime, but Vertonghen brought the victory for the Spurs at the start of the additional time.
They are now in a pretty decent momentum as for the Premiership, and is now just three points behind Champions League placed Chelsea and has a chance to level up with them on the table after this game.
Defensive midfielder Ndombele (12/2) is doubtful, while the hosts continue to miss goalkeeper Lloris (7/0), left-back Davies (6/0) and offensive midfielder Lamela (9/2).
Chelsea did progress further into the Champions League with an important victory at home over French side Lille but disappointed all of their fans just a few days alter.
It was a narrow home loss against Bournemouth, despite being a huge favorite prior to the game. Truth to be told, they looked better than the opponents for the almost whole match, however, they lacked really concrete and more decisive performance overall with very few chances created.
On the other side, Bournemouth looked pretty defensive and passive but got the much-needed goal via Gosling in the 84th minute leaving no time for the Blues to react further on.
Chelsea counts two consecutive defeats away from home and that’s what makes this game a bit of a challenge and a real test for them.
The Blues have central back Tomori (11/1) and striker Giroud (5/0) doubtful for this one.
Tottenham looks well improved under Mourinho and this can’t be said for the Blues lately. An obvious change in form happened recently when looking at these two teams and with the hosts having the momentum behind their back, their victory seems even more likely than what the odds suggest.
