Judi Bola, Mpobos.com- Pescara surprised everyone with their good and combative performance away to Pordenone last weekend, winning the match with a 0:2 result.
Not only they had more chances created overall, but the visitors also kept the ball more to their feet and simply surprised the opponent in every possible aspect of the game.
They looked better in the first halftime too, but the goals were missing, while encouraged with such performance they risked more in the second and it soon paid off to them – they took the lead via Zappa in the 51st minute while Galano doubled it up just seven minutes later.
Pescara remained slightly more passive and defending on the ground, but overall without being threatened a lot.
This was a great way to bounce back from their defeat at home against Salernitana, while they now stand two points behind the playoff zone. Having that in mind, surely that the victory here is their priority.
The hosts are set to miss injured goalkeeper Kastrati (11/0), defender Campagnaro (7/1), newly signed offensive midfielder Clemenza and forwards Di Grazia (8/0) and Tumminello (3/2). Striker Pucciarelli came from Chievo a few days ago, while important midfielder Machin left for Monza. Midfielder Bussellato (15/1) is suspended. They should continue in a version of a 4-3-2-1 formation with Manor and Galano as forwards.
Cosenza is now in a pretty ugly run since they have suffered three straight losses in Serie B. Most recently, it was on the road to Salernitana 2:1 last Saturday evening.
The defeat looked quite inevitable, even though it was the guests who took the lead via Asencio in the 14th minute of the game, out of a rare chance for them. However, players of Salernitana responded in the best possible way and reverted the scoreline till the halftime whistle.
Not only that, the hosts deserved probably to score at least once more during the first halftime. They opted for a more defensive approach in the second, as Cosenza didn’t find solution for firm defending of the hosts in the repetition, in the halftime which looked quite uninteresting actually and without really good chances.
They are now third from the bottom already having seven points less than safely placed Venezia and are expecting a long season till the end in their struggling battle to survive somehow.
The guests continue to miss offensive midfielder Ilhassine Kone (3/0), but also defender Legittimo (18/0) and forward Machach (12/0).
As already said, Cosenza is in an ugly run and it’s difficult to see them escaping with something positive here. Pescara gained the momentum back with a victory over rock-solid Pordenone and shouldn’t make a setback here now.
Their attack seems to be working and is far more effective than Cosenza’s. Easy or difficult, it’s the hosts who should prevail in this one.
Pick : Pescara To Win
